This Privacy Policy explains how Lurnvo, a DBA of JLM Enterprise LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit lurnvo.com, use our course site at learn.lurnvo.com, sign up for free lessons, buy a course, or contact us. Your account. When you enroll in a free or paid course, you create an account on our course site, which is run on Thinkific. We collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored by Thinkific in protected form, and we can't see them.
Purchases. At checkout we collect your name, email address, billing country and postal code, and payment details. Card payments are processed by Stripe on Thinkific's behalf. We never receive or store your full card number. We can see what you bought, when, the amount and tax paid, and your country and postal code.
Course activity. Our course site records your progress (which lessons you've opened or completed), quiz answers, completion certificates, and any comments or discussion posts you choose to make.
Email. Your email address, and your name if given, when you sign up for free lessons or our list. Also any emails you send us.
Website and course-site usage. Our hosts (Netlify for lurnvo.com, Thinkific for learn.lurnvo.com) automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring site, and time of visit, for security, operations, and basic analytics.
Advertising and measurement. If we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, we use the Meta Pixel on our websites. It uses cookies and similar technology to tell Meta that a browser visited our pages or took an action, such as starting checkout or buying, so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may combine this with information it holds about you under its own privacy policy.
Text you type into a lesson's prompt builders stays in your browser. It isn't sent to us.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run Lurnvo, and only for the purposes above:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Using the Meta Pixel for ad targeting may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or "targeted advertising," under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in section 6.
Our course site uses cookies that are needed to keep you logged in and make checkout work. Our websites may also use cookies from the Meta Pixel and analytics tools. You can block or delete non-essential cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you from logging in. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Deleting your account ends your course access. Some information must be kept for legal, tax, or accounting reasons even after a deletion request, such as purchase records.
We keep your account and progress while you have course access, and for a reasonable period afterward unless you ask us to delete it. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). Email-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Please use a strong, unique password for your course account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We're based in the United States, and our providers process information in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. If you're outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries. For visitors in the EU/UK, we rely on contract (to provide your course), legitimate interests (to run and secure our sites and support students), and consent (for marketing cookies and emails where required) as our legal bases.
Lurnvo is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
We'll update this policy if our practices change, for example if we change platforms or providers, and we'll revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated by email to students where appropriate.
